Action for Solidarity, Equality, Environment and Development (A SEED) is a global and diverse action network focusing on a broad range of issues. A SEED plays a critical role in involving young people in the struggles against ecological destruction and social injustice. Formed in 1991 during the process leading up to UNCED (UN Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), A SEED has grown into a global network linking youth and student groups active in the field of environment, development and human rights.
